The BEng degree meets the educational requirement to become an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). As a graduate of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence MEng, you will have key critical skills in mathematics, engineering, computer science, AI and robotics. This core technical knowledge is underpinned by your experience in project work, practically applying knowledge and communicating these through report writing and presentations. By being able to combine theory with practice, you will find yourself equipped to work in the way that engineers work on teams in the real world.

Through a two hour lecture each week, you’ll be introduced to concepts and techniques for software testing and will be given an insight into the use of artificial and computational intelligence for automated software testing. You’ll also review recent industry trends on software quality assurance and testing. This module will require some challenging programming work and assumes some basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Introductory tutorials will be provided to those without this prior knowledge.
During your studies, you will have access to specialist project labs, computer workstations, and online tools. You will also benefit from our strong links with local businesses through our membership of the Greater Manchester Artificial Intelligence Foundry. The 180-credit MSc award comprises four taught modules, plus a research dissertation. If you got your degree in an English speaking country or if it was taught in English, and you studied within the last five years, you might not need an English language qualification – find out more. H6G7 MEng Electronic Engineering with Artificial Intelligence (4 Years)
In some modules students have the freedom to choose topics or datasets to work with, allowing them to explore areas relevant to their personal or professional interests. It combines problem-solving skills, practical skills like programming, and specialist knowledge on tools and techniques for creating smart algorithms and software. We may accept your English language grade from the Dutch Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO) diploma if you achieved 8 (good) in English. For Postgraduate programmes Mauritian nationals with a degree from Mauritius or another English speaking country (as on the University’s approved list) are not required to submit an English Language test. SPM 1119 or GCSE/IGCSE minimum grade C may be accepted for a range of programmes with a four year validity period.

That’s why from the beginning of your time with us you will be assigned a Personal Tutor who will remain with you throughout your studies and support your academic progress, developing your transferable skills and any welfare issues. Applicants studying A levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma, will be eligible for direct artificial intelligence engineer degree entry if you meet your chosen programme’s entry requirements. We will consider students who have taken A Level examinations and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB) for entrance to undergraduate programmes. We will also consider students who have successfully completed a Bachelors (Honours) degree of at least two years duration.
